A compulsive doodler from the onset, Oscar (yes 100% Singaporean) has displayed her artistic abilities since she was 5. Tables, floors, and just about any surface became her canvas for expression. In an era where the 'paper'-chase was fervent and artists were deemed to permanent paupers, she stood by her heart to pursue her passion.
After receiving her Diploma in Fine Arts as a scholar from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Oscar was directly admitted into Central St. Martin's College of Arts & Design in London, graduating with Honours in 1997.
With numerous successful exhibitions in both local and foreign art galleries and public spaces like Esplanade and MICA, and a keen interest to promote art to the masses, she found her calling in her alma mater and soon joined the management. In some evenings, she teaches foundation western art for working adults and creates artworks on commission basis. One of her hanging mobile sculptures can still be found in the Army Museum today.
